About Ecstatic Dance
Ecstatic Dance is a global freeform dance movement that began in Hawaii in 2000 and has since expanded to major cities worldwide. Each session begins with a 45‑minute yoga class to prepare the body, followed by a two‑hour dance experience facilitated by a professional DJ. The musical arc typically moves from ambient and slow‑tempo selections to higher‑energy peaks before returning to a quieter, meditative close. The event concludes with a sound‑healing session to support integration.

Ecstatic Dance Guidelines
Move as You Wish: Participants are encouraged to engage in authentic, freeform movement. No Talking on the Dance Floor: This maintains a focused and meditative environment. Nonverbal sounds and emotional expression are welcome; verbal conversations should take place outside the dance area. No Photos or Videos: Phones should remain put away to preserve privacy and presence. No Shoes: Dancing barefoot protects the floor and enhances grounding; medical exceptions are permitted. No Substances: This is a sober, alcohol‑ and drug‑free event. Consent: Partner or group dancing is welcome when mutually agreed upon. If a participant’s cues are unclear or their eyes are closed, the default assumption is “no.” Declining an invitation to dance should not be taken personally.

Additional Notes
– This event is for adults only. – Participants are asked to arrive clean and avoid strong fragrances due to sensitivities among attendees.
