at Greenwood Social Hall

Kirstie Lynn is a poet and singer-songwriter hailing from the Fingerlakes of Upstate, NY. Always looking to marry verse and melody, her lyrics and virtuosic vocal lines bring to life stories of the heart, trials and triumphs, and the search for a greater meaning all through the lens of the great outdoors.

Kirstie Lynn's extensive experience in voice and performance, over 10 years of classical training and performing, began at the age of 5 and continues to blossom and grow both in a solo setting as well as with long-time friend and duo partner, Galen Clark. Though Kirstie Lynn's voice and songwriting have been compared to that of Joni Mitchell, Joan Baez, and Judy Collins, her song-bird timbre and finger style guitar playing are uniquely and beautifully her own.

As their name would suggest, chrysalis exists in a constant state of metamorphosis, with an ethos firmly rooted in a sense of care; for their art, their community, their identity. As they stitch together influences everywhere from Alanis Morissette, Joni Mitchell, Brandi Carlile to Indigo De Souza, they envelop listeners in a world of sonic understanding. chrysalis’ discography comes directly inspired by and written through the lens of their lived experiences as a queer person traversing through a world that often refutes their very existence, proving to be a project of unfettered defiance and radical love. Career highlights include receiving the Gibson/Music Forward Emerging LGBTQ+ Artist Award and the Salt Lick Americanafest Grant, playing at Boston Calling, as well as opening for MALINDA, Olive Klug, VÉRITÉ and Katy Kirby. chrysalis has been featured on various editorial playlists, including Front Page Indie (do you?), Fresh Finds (do you?), Juniper (“do you?”), Sad Girl Starter pack (“margarita sugar”), and Fresh Finds Indie (“crazy” + “do you?”). With every song being as raw and emotionally charged as a freshly written diary entry, chrysalis bears their heart to listeners.

Though she is largely a self-taught musician, JOBIE’s childhood was steeped in music, nurtured by her family and the rich tapestry of culture that surrounded her in her hometown of Richmond, Virginia. While currently a regular facet of Boston, Massachusetts’ DIY scene, JOBIE maintains firm roots in Richmond, frequently collaborating with producer Russell Lacy at The Virginia Moonwalker.

Penning lyrics without coy pretense or caddish bravado, JOBIE’s words are cutting and reactionary as she confronts everything from peers with rude party etiquette to deeply embedded systemic flaws. While she is apt to use her music as a vessel to interrogate what society wants us to unwittingly consider ‘normal,’ JOBIE is equally prone to using her discography as an emotional guidebook.

She has opened for Ezra Furman, Sydney Gish, LAUNDRY DAY, Brye, Leanna Firestone and toured with chrysalis, as well as headlined at The Crystal Ballroom in Somerville MA, Purgatory in Brooklyn NY, Club Passim in Cambridge MA and The Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles, CA. She regularly contributes to two other musical projects, Older Sibling and jimrat.
