Mike Dillon and Earl Harvin met in 1985 while studying percussion at North Texas State University. Their friendship became a decades-long musical collaboration through projects including Fingerprints, Ten Hands, Billy Goat, The Malachy Papers, and The Black Frames. They have continued to work together on recordings and performances, including Solargy, People Gardens, and Dillon’s Rosewood.
Mike Dillon
Texas-born percussionist, vibraphonist, composer, and bandleader Mike Dillon has spent more than three decades performing and recording with artists including Rickie Lee Jones, Les Claypool, Ani DiFranco, Karl Denson, and Stanton Moore. His own projects include Nolatet and Punkadelick, alongside a substantial catalog of solo recordings and collaborations.
Earl Harvin
Earl Harvin is an American drummer, percussionist, composer, and multi-instrumentalist based in Berlin. He has performed and recorded with Seal, Jeff Beck, Pet Shop Boys, Joe Jackson, Glen Hansard, Sam Smith, and Tindersticks, among others. Harvin is a longtime member of Tindersticks and has also released music as a solo artist and with the Earl Harvin Trio.
